This project was a part of a course at the University of Toronto.

Students were asked to design a student centre for a site on the University of Toronto campus. The site is located by Varsity Stadium and downtown Toronto where the CN Tower can be viewed, which makes its location unique.

 

The circular design uses an "open-air" concept that allows the building to integrate with its surroundings and for the natural sunlight to flow through. The spiral stairs are within a transparent container to maximize the sunlight and surrounding views.
